New BeerSmith Payment Options – 1, 2 and 3 Year Licenses

A few weeks ago I launched some new 1, 2 and 3 year license options as part of our BeerSmith checkout system including Venmo, Google Pay and Square options in addition to an upgraded paypal checkout system.

New 1-Year, 2-Year and 3-Year Options

For the Gold, Platinum and Pro yearly accounts which now include the BeerSmith Web editor, many people asked for an option to purchase for more than one year without committing to an autorenew subscription. So for these licenses we now offer 1, 2 and 3 year purchases. For the 2 and 3 year options you get a 5% and 10% discount. To select these options, use the drop-down box near the bottom of the page when you are on the page where you select which license to purchase.

Basic Non Subscription Option

There is a bit of a myth flying around that BeerSmith went to 100% subscriptions. This is not true, as we still offfer the “Basic” license for the desktop version which has been available since BeerSmith 3 launched. This is being sold under the same terms as the old BeerSmith 2 license. It includes the desktop software with no fixed expiration date and includes minor updates. It does not include the web based version, and also it does not include major version updates such as BeerSmith 4 (someday).

You can use all of the options listed in this article when purchasing a new license using the button below or if you want to renew an existing license you can go to this page, log into your account and click on the Renew Now button next to your license.

If you are new to BeerSmith or want to purchase a new license you can do using this button:

Square, Google Pay and Venmo Options

As part of the rewrite I’ve also added more payment options. While the subscription with autopay is still processed through paypal, you now have other payment options if purchasing a Basic license or any of the Gold, Platinum or Pro licenses that are 1, 2 or 3 years. To access these options select the appropriate license (Basic or Gold+ 1,2,3 year) and then continue with the checkout. You should have both a Square button as well as a Venmo button if those are available in your area. For Google Pay you want to checkout using the Square button.

I am continuing to work on an alternative system with autopay for those that want an alternative to the paypal subscription system, but I hope the new 1, 2 and 3 year and basic options as well as new payment system will make it easier to renew and manage your BeerSmith license.

Thanks for your continued support!
