So, I'm using metric but it seems some of the settings under Advanced Options are hard coded non-metric. Like "Grain Absorption" and "BIAB Grain Absorb". Shouldn't everything be in metric if I choose to use it?

By default the advanced options are in "native" units used by the app.  I don't translate units for them on either version as they are meant to be seldomly changed and only for use by advanced users.  You will need to do the unit conversion yourself.
