- This week I welcome Larry Horwitz. Larry is the head brewer at Crooked Hammock Brewery. Larry has served as a board member for the Brewer’s Association and President of the MBAA for two districts. He chairs the Draft Beer Quality Subcommittee for the BA, and is a judge for both GABF and the World Beer cup.
- Larry starts with a brief discussion of his background in brewing which spans some 30+ years.
- We start with a discussion on Wit beer and what makes the Wit style unique from other Belgian and Continental beers.
- Larry explains the use of unmalted wheat and oats and how the add body and character to the style.
