i’ve just run the upgrade, but it didnt appear to do the scan for my old version of Beersmith. The documentation mentions that it should scan for the old version, and suggests that is how I could import my equipment profile and inventory. Is there a way I can force this to happen?

As BeerSmith 3 is a paid upgrade I did not want to force anyone to install it so it is a separate download and install. You can get it from BeerSmith.com

Good morning Brad,

The new version release has some nice improvements. I brew at 9820′ and look forward to the new altitude-adjusted hop utilization calculations.

However, I’d appreciate some additional information on the pricing. I understand the BeerSmith 3 Basic License will do everything the subscription versions will do today. However, what distinguishes major and minor upgrades?

Also, as a Quicken user for many years, I see you are also shifting to a yearly subscription service that includes all upgrades. If I choose the Gold License, it is pretty clear that a 1-year Activation is $9.95. If I choose the yearly subscription, are we committing to $9.95/year going forward after the first year?

Thanks,

Robert
