- This week I welcome back Skip Schwartz, Head Brewer at Weldwerks Brewing. Skip joins us today to discuss Hazy IPAs.

- Skip provides a description of the Hazy IPA style which is a uniquely American Craft beer style (also called New England IPA).
- We discuss a bit about the history of the style and how it became so popular so quickly.
- Skip starts with the grain bill and explains how it contributes to a permanent haze in the beer. We also talk about how you achieve the “fluffy” mouthfeel.
- Skip explains why water with some Calcium Chloride is important for softening the beer, and how this approach is the opposite of many IPAs.
